“The idea came with the 5-year anniversary of the hike Flow Traders employees did in support of War Child. In hindsight, I spoke with a few friends at Flow Traders who share similar interests, and we all wanted to repeat the adventure, but this time in support of our own foundation.”

We are excited to announce that 37 brave souls are embarking on a climbing adventure to raise awareness and funds for the Flow Traders Foundation.

Two groups of employees will climb the Kilimanjaro following the 8-day Lemosho route, in January and February.

The Lemosho route is one the preferred routes due to its low traffic, beautiful scenery, and a high summit success rate. The route starts off from the west, at Londorossi Gate. From there, the first two days are spent trekking through the lush rainforest to Shira Plateau. It then joins the Machame route just after Shira 2 Camp and follows the same route through the southern circuit and descending at Mweka Gate.

The two groups of employees have started their training for this adventure including fitness, hikes, healthy diets and much more.  The climb is not only a huge personal achievement but also a project to raise money for the Flow Traders Foundation.
